According to Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh, “Police have identified the arrested terrorist as Arif. This terrorist was in contact with Pakistani handlers for 3 years. Significantly, 20 incidents happened in Narwal last month.” Nine people were injured in the two blasts that took place minutes apart.Police said that the intention of the terrorists was to kill as many people as possible.

Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh told the media about the incident, “On January 20, two bombs were planted. On January 21, two explosions were carried out at an interval of 20 minutes to kill as many people as possible.” 9 people were injured after the first IED blast. The terrorists’ intention to cause maximum damage was averted due to police following the SOP. Otherwise, the second IED blast was expected to cause major damage Because the first IED was small, but the second IED was much bigger than the first.”

DGP Dilbag also told that this is the first IED recovered by the police, if an attempt is made to suppress or open the IED, it will explode. He said, “This is the first time we have recovered a perfume IED. We have not recovered any perfume IED before. If anyone tries to press or open it, the IED will explode. Our special team will deal with that IED.”

DGP Singh targeted Pakistan for propagating terrorism from its soil. He said, “Pakistan is infamous for propagating terrorism from its soil and killing hundreds of innocent people across the world. Jammu and Kashmir has been its target for some time now. They (Pakistan) are creating communal divide among people in Jammu and Kashmir.” want to create.”

The DGP said that apart from the twin blasts, Arif Narwal has also been involved in the Shastri Nagar blast and the Katra bus blast. Speaking to ANI, DGP Singh said, “The accused had received a supply of three IEDs in late December. Two IEDs were used by him in Narwal area. He was working under Qasim, a LeT operative from Pakistan.” He is a terrorist of E-Taiba (Lashkar e Taiba). He is responsible for the recent terror incidents in the area.”

LG Manoj Sinha condemned

According to news agency ANI, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also strongly condemned the blasts in Narwal area on Thursday (February 2) morning. Senior police officers briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the blast and the circumstances of the investigation. He asked to take immediate steps to identify those responsible for the blast and take action against them. LG Manoj Sinha also announced an assistance of Rs 50,000 to those injured in the blast.

SIA and NIA reached for investigation

Meanwhile, immediately after the blasts on January 21, senior officers of the Army and Security Impact Analysis-SIA teams also went to the site of the incident for investigation. On January 22, a team of the National Investigation Agency-NIA also reached the site of two blasts in Narwal industrial area of ​​Jammu to investigate.

Describing this painful incident, the eyewitness of the blast, Sherali said, ‘We were sitting inside a shop at the time of the blast. The car exploded and some parts of the car fell near the shop. The second blast occurred at some distance after half an hour. Initially people thought that it was a gas explosion in the car, but its sound was more than that. It was an SUV car and the mechanics were repairing it. “People are in panic now,” he said.
